Two men are dead after separate road incidents.
Gardai are investigating a suspected hit and run in Co.Tipperary, while a man was killed when his van entered the water in Co. Offaly.
Gardai and other emergency service personnel were called to Banagher Marina in Co. Offaly at around 5.30 yesterday evening after reports of a van entering the water.
A man aged in his 70's was treated at the scene and transferred to Ballinasloe Hospital, however efforts to save him failed and he was pronounced dead last night.
The man was the only person in the van at the time.
Meanwhile an investigation is underway into a suspected hit and run in Co. Tipperary.
The body of a man in his 60's was found at around 1 o'clock this morning lying on the side of road near Clonmore village, close to Templemore.
The man's body remains at the scene this morning and the area is sealed off for a technical examination.
