The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar is expected to meet the IDA today, to discuss concerns about further job losses in the tech sector here.

It comes ahead of a meeting of the Oireachtas Committee on Wednesday to discuss the redundancies.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting the layoff's planned for Meta would be the largest for a major tech company this year.

Cork City council has issued a flood warning for this evening.
High tide is at 4.48pm, and a limited supply of sandbags is available from Tramore Valley Park from 10am this morning to 4pm.
Traffic restrictions are in place on Morrison's Quay, which will be reviewed this afternoon.
The council says localised flooding is expected during high tides on low lying quays in the city.

Anyone who keeps birds or poultry is being ordered to house them indoors from today.
The tightened rules to protect against bird flu will apply to all owners - even those with just a few hens or ducks.
It follows the discovery of bird-flu in a a swan in Co. Cavan, while the deaths of a number of sea-birds have also been attributed to the strain of avian flu which has swept across Europe.
