Met Éireann has issued two status yellow rain warnings affecting 8 counties this morning. Cork as well as Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford will be under an alert until 3pm this afternoon. High tide just after 6am brought flooding to low lying areas in the city while people in coastal areas should be on the alert to the possibility of flooding due to high tides.
