Political and community leaders must stand up to extreme groups in Ireland.
That's the message from one government TD, who warns Ireland is not immune to the rise in extreme nationalism seen in parts of Europe.
Fine Gael's Alan Farrell says the government is committed to providing safe refuge for people fleeing war and oppression.
The deputy says we must remain vigilant to a rise in divisive rhetoric:
"It is incumbent upon, not just the political parties and political individuals within those communities, but also for community leaders to stand up and show individuals who are coming into this state that they are welcome, that there are reasons that we completely understand as a country, who sent so many hundreds of thousands, if not millions, from our shores".
