The Taoiseach says the development of over 800 social and affordable homes in the city is a significant start to the new year.
Micheál Martin turned the sod at both the Creamfields site on the Old Kinsale Road, and The Railway Apartments scheme on Albert Quay, which will include the country’s tallest residential building.
Speaking to RedFM News, Taoiseach Micheál Martin said house building is the government’s main priority:
"That is important to make sure we have councils with the right attitude to drive on and make sure projects happen and that we reduce the barriers to getting housing delivered. We want to see similar momentum now for the rest of the year."
