Republic of Ireland boss Heimir Hallgrimson has named his squad for the upcoming friendlies with Luxembourg and Senegal.

Cork's Josh Honohan has been included for the first time - the former Carrigaline United defender has impressed with Shamrock Rovers.

John Joe Patrick Finn, Josh Keeley and Killian Phillips have also received their first call ups.

Captain Seamus Coleman returns to the squad, with Hallgrimson leaving out the vast majority of Championship players to aid rest and recovery in their off-season.

Cork's Caoimhin Kelleher, Jake O'Brien, and Adam Idah are all included in the squad.
