Three former rugby players, including ex Irish internationals David Corkery and Declan Fitzpatrick and former Leinster and Connacht player Ben Marshall have taken legal proceedings against their former provinces, the IRFU and World Rugby in what are believed to be concussion related cases.

The trio, represented by law firm Maguire McClafferty, issued proceedings in the High Court in Dublin yesterday.

Ex-Munster player Corkery won 27 caps for Ireland, while former Ulster player Fitzpatrick made 7 appearances for the national team.

Marshall lined out at provincial level for 7 years between 2010 and 2017.
