It was a night that those in attendance won't forget in a hurry. A massive crowd of over 41,000 was in attendance for the first ever rugby game at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, and Munster certainly rose to the occasion.

Shane Daly, Simon Zebo, Diarmuid Barron and Mike Haley all scored tries as the Reds ran out 28-14 winners in front of a red hot crowd that certainly let their voices heard.

Speaking afterwards head coach Graham Rowntree says it was an incredible evening.

"It's brilliant, a special night for the club, a special night for the guys individually, a lot of people worked exceptionally hard to get this game organised at this famous stadium.

"The support was brilliant, wasn't it? And the weather wasn't the best. But that's going to give us a shot in the arm going forward into the next batch of games.

"I had a feeling [the atmosphere] was going to be like that, given how quickly it sold out, given the support, given the history of the support we've had in these games in international opposition.

"I wasn't surprised, and I'm so proud of everyone involved."
