Denis Leamy is set to return to Munster.

The Irish Daily Mail report that the Tipperary native will link up with the Reds as their defence coach under new boss Graham Rowntree next season.

The 40 year old has been part of Leo Cullen's coaching team at Leinster since last October, operating as contact skills coach.

Leamy won Heineken Cup titles with the Reds in 2006 and 2008, making 144 appearances and winning 57 caps for Ireland, winning the Grand Slam in 2009.

The Mail also reports that former Munster scrum half Mike Prendergast is the front runner to replace the departing Stephen Larkham as attack coach.

Prendergast, who made 48 appearances for the province across two spells, is currently the backs coach at Racing 92
