Management at Fota Wildlife Park are encouraging people to include the park as part of their Christmas plans
The popular attraction will re-open next week after a 10 week closure due to an outbreak of bird flu
Seventy three birds had to be euthanised during that time leaving a flock of eighty three birds at the wildlife park
Speaking to RedFM News Fota Wildlife Park Director Aileen Tennant says people can support the park without having to visit
"Pre book your tickets. We're going to be open from the 20th of December, we have no revenue coming in until that date, so please consider adopting an animal, maybe buying a Christmas voucher for family or friends to come and visit the park. Or renew your annual pass, or take out an annual pass. The visit to the park is incredibly special"
