Planning has been granted for new apartments on lands at the site of the former Bessborough mother and baby home
Over 100 apartments will be built at the site at the former farmyard area despite opposition from survivor groups who fear any development could disturb previously undiscovered burial sites on the property

Speaking to RedFM News she says the granting of planning is disrespectful to survivors and bereaved families
"I think it's so disrespectful, I mean, what does it tell us, the families and survivors, that if they go ahead with this development, it will lead to the three others that have already been proposed, and it will end up with a sprawling housing estate, and they will show that they don't care one iota for the families, the members and the trauma that went on there"
