The OPW Minister say business-owners affected by flooding today will have to wait until next week to hear about supports.

Some parts of the country have already been flooded as Storm Ciarán makes landfall.

Financial supports were offered to those affected by serious flooding in the wake of Storm Babet two weeks ago.

But Minister Patrick O'Donovan was unable to confirm what assistance will be provided to vulnerable businesses in the coming days:

"There'll be a cabinet meeting on Tuesday. I spoke to Simon Coveney's Department. He's on a trade mission at the moment. I was in contact with him last night. Once Louth County Council and indeed, Wexford County Council, and the other ones now from today, have their assessments done, the Department of Enterprise will respond to that probably on Tuesday".
