One person has been hospitlised after a fire at St.Vincent's Hostel in the city.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at Anglesea Terrace yesterday evening.
Two people were treated for smoke inhalation following the fire in one of the bedroom hostels and one person was taken to hospital for further treatment.
Cork City Fire Brigade says an investigation into the fire is underway.
Gardaí said: "Gardaí attended at a fire at a premises on Anglesea Terrace in Cork City at approximately 6pm, yesterday evening, Sunday 25th May 2025. No offences were disclosed."
