We're being warned weight-loss medications being sold online simply don't work.

Its emerged 400 thousand illegal medicines have been seized in just the first 6 months of this year.

While meds like steroids, sedatives and drugs for erectile disfunction top the list of seizures, large numbers of ozempic-like patches and ampules are being caught.

Obesity lead with the HSE Dr. Donal O'Shea says the drugs being offered online don't even exist.

"There's absolutely no evidence of the likes of Ozempic being delivered by a patch, and yet there is a massive market of people, almost pyramid style, reporting great effects.

"I can tell you if there were great effects of patch delivery of GLP, then the pharmaceutical industry proper would be all over it."
