This is especially disruptive for those who rely on assistance dogs, whose distress can severely impact their owner's independence and safety.
It is crucial to remember that in Ireland, the possession, sale or use of fireworks and bangers is not a trivial matter. It is a criminal offence. The penalties reflect the gravity of the danger they pose, with fines of up to €10,000 and the possibility of up to five years in prison.
