A major study has revealed that 70 percent of heart disease and stroke could be prevented if people got a good night's sleep.
More than 7 thousand healthy adults aged between 50 to 75 were tracked by scientists for a decade.
They discovered that only 1 in 10 slept well.
The poor sleepers have a 75 percent greater chance of heart disease and stroke.
Experts are calling for children to be taught the importance of sleep, so they can develop healthy resting habits for later in life.
