Property prices in Cork remained static during the final quarter of the year.

A new report from MyHomes.ie shows the asking price for a three-bed semi in the county is two-hundred and eighty-five thousand euro.

Asking prices increased by four per cent across the country last year, with properties selling for four per cent over the asking price in December.

Speaking to RedFM News, Auctioneer Jeremy Murphy says demand remains extremely strong across the country:

"People are earning more money and as the employment market is very fluid, purchasers are very anxious to get on the property market. The rental situation is still in a dire situation and it is still cheaper to own a property than rent to property. And as long as that is the case, I feel that demand will be very strong."
