97 football fans died as a result of a crush at a match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest in 1989.

All forces in England and Wales are promising to acknowledge any mistakes in future and to ensure openness.

That's as part of an official, and long-awaited, policing response to a 2017 report into what happened.

Peter Scarfe from Hillsborough Survivors' Support Group says fans were blamed for far too long:

"Mistakes were made and they need to be rectified and we are not to blame. So I just feel that it's taken way too long and they need to do more."
