WATCH: Maroon 5 Performed At Last Night's Super Bowl And It Included SpongeBob Squarepants
Maroon 5 were the headline performers at last night's Super Bowl.
While millions tuned in to watch the New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams, there was much talk about the halftime show this year as many acts who were approached to appear turned down the opportunity following the NFL's treatment of player Colin Kaepernick and others who previously knelt during the national anthem as a form of protest.
The likes of Rihanna rejected the offer to perform as well as Cardi B who appears on Maroon 5 song "Girls Like You".
Maroon 5 kicked off their performance with Harder To Breathe before moving in to This Love. This was followed by a tribute to Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of SpongeBob Squarepants before Travis Scott popped up to perform "Sicko Mode".
Maroon 5 re-appear with a Cardi B-less performance of "Girls Like You", followed by "She Will Be Loved" draped in drone controlled Chinese lanterns. The second guest then showed up in the form of Outkast's Big Boi to treat the crowd to Outkast's "The Way You Move". Maroon 5 then finish off the show with "Sugar" and "Moves Like Jagger".
