Paul Mescal has been lined up to star in a new Irish thriller

The Normal People Actor has been lined up to star in a new Irish thriller 'Bring Them Down'.
The film is based in the West of Ireland where a sheep farmer has a row with a neighbouring farmer after his sheep are killed by some men.
The project marks the directorial debut of Christopher Andrews, who also wrote the screenplay. The producers are Ivana MacKinnon, Ruth Treacy, and Julianne Forde from Tailored Films, alongside Ilya Stewart and Jacob Swan Hyam. Funding comes from Screen Ireland, Charades, and Hype Film.
Mescal has recently finished filming The Lost Daughter which is based on a novel by Elena Ferrante which is about a woman who has to confront her dark past when on holidays by the seaside.
Production for Bring Them Down is scheduled to take place at the end of 2021.
