Normal People nominated for four Emmy Awards

Irish drama Normal People has been nominated for four prestigious Emmy Awards in America.
The nominations are Paul Mescal for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series, Lenny Abrahamson for Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Sally Rooney & Alice Birch for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series and Louise Kiely for Outstanding Casting for a Limited Series.
For Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series, Paul Mescal will be in competition with Jeremy Irons for his role in Watchmen, Hugh Jackman in Bad Education, Jeremy Pope in Hollywood and Mark Ruffalo in I Know This Much Is True.
Irish actor Andrew Scott has also earned a nomination for his role in Netflix series Black Mirror in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series category.
