Actor Kirk Douglas Has Died Aged 103

Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas has passed away aged 103.
Douglas has been on the big screen for six decades earning his first Oscar nomination in 1949 for the boxing story Champion. One of his most famous roles was his title role in the classic 1960 movie Spartacus.
Kirk is the father to Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas.
In a statement following his death, Michael said: "It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today.
"To the world, he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies...but to me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was simply Dad.
"Let me end with the words I told him on his last birthday and which will always remain true. Dad - I love you so much and I am so proud to be your son."
Michael Douglas' wife, fellow actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, shared a picture of her with Kirk and captioned it, "I shall love you for the rest of my life. I miss you already."
