Elton John says he wanted his recent collaboration with Britney Spears to be "all about her".
The US singer's release of "Hold Me Closer" marked her first new music in six years.
Elton told Apple Music "she came through it with flying colours" after going "through hell", following the end of a 13-year legal arrangement which gave her dad control over many aspects of her life.
