The death toll from the funicular derailment in Portugal has risen to 17.
A number of tourists were caught up in the disaster in Lisbon in which over a dozen more were hurt.
Its not known if any Irish are involved but the embassy in Portugal is on standby to help if needed.
The streetcar lost control on a steep hill and crashed into a building.
