The latest on COVID19 today

The latest developments on the fight against COVID19 as the virus continues to disrupt everyday life.

  • Regulations are being drafted to allow shoe shops to open for children's shoes.

The system will be by appointment only and will allow children to be measured in-store.

  • The deputy CMO has urged people to limit their social contacts over the next critical 8 week period.

NPHET today reported 411 new Covid cases, as well as 6 deaths.

  • The pandemic alone is not responsible for the increase in the price of Irish homes in the last year, according a leading developer.

The comments come after a new survey showed the prices rose by 20,000 euro over the past 12 months.

  • Seven new walk-in Covid-19 testing centres will be set up in Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Westmeath and Galway this week.

They'll be based in Balbriggan, Finglas, Crumlin, Navan, Naas, Athlone and Ballinasloe.
