Tánaiste indicates phased return for schools edging closer to reality

A phased return to schools can be achieved safely according to the Tánaiste.

It comes as the government prepares a revised roadmap for living with the virus which will be published in a fortnight,

Personal services like hairdressers and barbers won't be opening on the 5th of March.

However ,Tanaiste Leo Varadkar says the fall in case numbers this evening indicate schools could reopen safely, "Last time we had fingers like that all schools were open. In October, November and December, so we are getting into that space now where I think we can confidently say that a phased return school can be achieved and can be achieved safely"
