Foreign Affairs Minister says he's opposed to significantly extending the mandatory hotel quarantine list

So far, people travelling here from 33 high-risk countries have to stay in a special hotel for up to two weeks.

But 43 could be added to the list, including the US, Italy, Germany and France.

But Cork's Simon Coveney says he concerns about that; "Well, I don't believe we should move ahead with adding a significant number, particularly countries that have very large numbers of Irish citizens in, because this is primarily about Irish people coming home, with a home to go to, question is should we be putting them into a hotel and charging them for the privilege, or can we put another risk based response to respond to genuine concerns from the public health team, can we do that in a more effective way."
