It's after the INMO here in Cork say they've expressed their desire to leave the profession when the pandemic ends.
Pay considerations, working hours, and staffing levels in hospitals are among the frustrations nurses say they're experiencing while many say they're on the brink of burn-out.
Speaking to RedFM News INMO's Cork based Kathyrn Courtney says new nurses need to come on stream every year, but not enough is being done to retain them and the future of quality health care is in jeopardy:
