Calls for review of restrictions in maternity hospitals

Concern has been expressed that there was no mention of maternity services in this week's Government announcement where a plan for the easing of restrictions was given.

That's the chairperson of the Association for Improvements in Maternity Services, who has been recounting some of the conversations she's been having with expectant mothers in the wake of the review of Level 5 restrictions.

There was no mention of maternity services in this week's Government announcement and calls are being made for immediate change after almost a year of restrictions which have prevented expectant mothers from having their partners present for important parts of their pregnancy.
