100 Nurses Are Out Of Work At Cork University Hospital For Covid-19 Reasons

The hospital also has no available ICU or critical care beds

That's according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Tom Douglas has this report for RedFM News:

'One ward at CUH has been closed because only four nurses were available to staff it. The INMO says that illustrates just how extreme the pressure is on Irish hospitals with Covid cases surging nationwide. More than 70 people were admitted with the disease in the last two days, with a total of 673 in hospital. While there are 62 people in ICU. The union has called on the government to help staff, who are struggling to cope with the sheer volume of patients, by taking over capacity in private hospitals once again.'
