Snow and ice warning as temperatures set to plummet

Met Éireann says there could be ice and snow throughout the country later this week.
A status yellow rainfall warning is currently in place for 12 counties in the midlands, northwest and northeast.
It ends at 9pm tonight.
A weather advisory for the entire country will then begin at midnight - warning of very cold conditions for the rest of the week.
