Over 100,000 vaccines have been administered in the City
The HSE says the centres at City Hall and Páirc Uí Chaoimh hit the milestone this week.
Both centres are currently vaccinating people over the age of 40.
The centre at Páirc Uí Chaoimh opened on the 25th of March, while staff at City Hall administered the first vaccine on the 2nd of April.
CEO of the South/South West Hospital group Gerry O'Dwyer has acknowledged the work of those working at the centres:
“The South/South West Hospital is delighted to have in excess of 100,000 vaccinations administered in Cork city since March 2021. This is a key milestone for the vaccination programme in the region and I would like to thank all staff who are dedicated to the continued roll-out of the Covid 19 vaccination programme.”
