Millstreet disability rights campaigner 'the International Outstanding Young Person of the World'

North Cork teen Joanne O'Riordan says she's delighted to be been named 'the International Outstanding Young Person of the World'. 

The disability rights campaigner is one of seven people in the world that has Total Amelia which means she was born without limbs. 

She first came into the spotlight when she spoke out against government cuts to people with disabilities.

Since then she has addressed the UN on the importance of technology in her life which is a topic she plans to discuss with children in South Africa later this year.

A panel of judges said they choose the Milstreet teenager because of her contribution to children, world peace and human rights.
