Farmers are meeting with government officials and members of the meat industry

The meeting via videolink is part of efforts to resolve the ongoing beef price dispute.


It's the first time in three months the Beef Market Taskforce is being convened after it was set up last year to resolve issues in the sector.

Last year blockades and protests were mounted for months by angry farmers over low meat prices at meat plants across Cork and around the country
