Cork airport says crew fatigue for planned US airlink is a red herring

It's not known at this stage whether the crew will travel from Barcelona via Cork to the US

Cork Airport say crew fatigue will not be an issue if Cork transatlantic flights come to fruition.

It comes after the US Department of Transportation approved, in principal, Norweigan Air International's licence application for the route. 

It's understood the airline is also planning to launch a Cork- Barcelona service which will coincide with the planned US flights and RedFM News has learned that this will act as a feeder service for the transatlantic flights. 

It's not known at this stage whether the crew will travel from Barcelona via Cork to the US however airport officials says the airline has been audited by the Irish Aviation Authority and has been found to be satisfactory.
