It comes as a new multi-million euro 'masterplan' for the centre of the town including a new Aldi store, multi-screen cinema and up to 60 residential units are unveiled
The plans for the Old Pottery Complex site also include almost 300 car parking spaces and a large open plaza featuring a drive-thru restaurant and cafe.
Speaking to RedFM News, Adrian O'Herlihy from Carrigaline Business Association says the continued roll out of vaccines is giving businesses increased confidence:
"Most people are positive. They've had a hard year, but they're looking forward to getting back up and going. And what we've to be positive about is people getting their vaccines and the role-out. Everybody would love it to be instant and be done within weeks but, in practical terms, we've had to take a certain length of time and hopefully we'll be down to the lower age groups during the summer."
