The country’s most famous amateur weatherman is predicting a good summer ahead.. 

Michael Gallagher has accurately predicted the seasons for decades using the behaviour of plants and animals and the folklore of older generations in the hills of Donegal.

Michael, who has retired from An Post after 48 years service as a postman says he expects the good weather to start from the middle of next month..

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Michael says cold weather in April and May is a good sign for the summer ahead..
