Busses, planes and trains are all returning after the Christmas break.
However they're still running Christmas and New Year schedules - so check your transport company's website over the next few days to avoid getting caught out.
Irish Rail says the Cork Commuter service will run to a Saturday timetable - but with some alterations, while Intercity routes will have some alterations and cancellations to their usual weekday service.
Bus Éireann says today's services will operate to a normal weekday schedule.
Jane Cregan from Irish Rail says there are schedule changes from today until New Year's Day:
"All rail services are back operating this morning, but there are some alterations in space between today and the 31st December. We will be operating a Saturday service on Dart and commuter services and we will have some alterations to InterCity services also. On New Year's Day, we will be operating a Sunday service with some alterations".
