A woman who can smell Parkinson's has helped scientists come up with a test which spots the disease.
The University of Manchester has developed a skin swab after working with a woman from Perth in Scotland, who has a rare heightened sense of smell.
She noticed her late husband developed a different odour, 12 years before he was diagnosed with Parkinson's.
