A woman in her 70s has died in a crash in County Monaghan.
The incident involving a car and a pedestrian occurred at about 10.45 last night, on the Newbliss Road at Clonavilla, Clones.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road remains closed this morning, while a forensic examination takes place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
