Weather forecasters are predicting a break from the recent 'cold snap' and icy conditions.
It follows nine nights of consecutive minus temperatures in some parts of the country.
Met Éireann say outbreaks of rain will spread from the south overnight, leading to milder temperatures.
Meteorologist Aoife Kealy explains how that'll affect the weather today:
“While most of the country will see highest temperatures of between one and four degrees, temperatures will get up to between five and seven degrees in some coastal areas of the south and west, which is a good bit higher than it has been over the last few days. We will start to see that gradual change through Saturday”.
