It's hoped visitors will be welcomed back to Sceilg Mhichíl on Saturday the 2nd of July.
The Junior Office of Public Works Minister says since the rockfall on the 13th of this month, the island had to close temporarily for health and safety reasons.
Minister Patrick O'Donovan says they've been working hard to restore safe access as soon as possible and specialist teams are on site to remove debris.
He says the reopening date is subject to weather conditions remaining favourable.
