The search for missing British actor Julian Sands has been stepped up as US authorities use a helicopter and mobile phone forensics to try to pinpoint his location.
He was reported missing by his wife just over a week ago after failing to return home from a hike in the southern Californian mountains.
Due to evidence of avalanches, ground crews haven't been able to continue looking for him.
