Two Men In Custody Following Arrest On Suspicion Of Murder

Two men remain in custody this morning following their arrest on suspicion of murder.

The two, aged in their 30s, were arrested in connection with a fatal assault at a residence in Finglas Dublin yesterday evening.

A man in his late 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two were arrested as part of a murder investigation into the fatal stabbing of the man.

The victim, who was in his 30s, was found fatally injured at the front garden of a house on Collins Place in Finglas just after 7pm.

Gardaí and the emergency services were called and paramedics tried to resuscitate the man but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

It is the second fatal stabbing in the north Dublin area in the past 24 hours.

A man was arrested on suspicion of the murder of a woman in her 40s, whose body was discovered in an apartment in Dublin on Friday morning.

The woman was found unresponsive at an apartment at Royal Canal Park in Ashtown at around 10am after Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
