Two men have died and another is in a critical condition after their car entered the water in Co Galway this morning.
It happened shortly after 2.30am at Menlo Pier in the city.
An investigation's underway and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to Menlo Pier in Galway city at approximately 2.40am this morning.
Three men were taken from the water shortly afterwards and brought to University Hospital Galway, where two have since passed away.
A third man remains in critical condition.
The scene at Menlo Pier has been preserved for technical examination and the services of Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested.
Gardaí are also appealing for information from the public.
