The British Prime Minister Liz Truss has held a telephone call with US President Joe Biden and discussed Northern Ireland.
They've agreed that the peace process and the Good Friday Agreement must be protected.
However pro-Brexit MP Chris Heaton-Harris has been appointed as the new Northern Ireland Secretary.
Aontu's Peader Tobin says the DUP need to get back to work and he has this advice for the new secretary.
"The message that I would give to the new Northern Ireland secretary is very clear.
"We have a situation where the people of the North of Ireland do not have an assembly, it's absolutely critical that we get the democratic assembly in the North back function, and that means a lever must be used on the DUP to get them back into the executive."
