Trade unions have hit out at the far right - saying they do not represent working people.
The Irish Congress of Trade Unions says there are serious issues to be tackled by everyone including the Government, and they will not be solved by laying the blame on migrants and refugees.
The message is contained in a video to be released by the union to coincide with May Day.
Congress Equality Officer, David Joyce says the far right is trying to divide working people:
"They don't represent working people - trade unions do. The trade union movement was built on the very simple idea of uniting working people - standing stronger together at home and abroad. The far right are actually trying to divide working people. We're very conscious of our responsibility to respond to that, and hence the video today".
