Tourism Minister calls for answers from energy regulator

The Minister for Tourism says she wants answers from the energy regulator, in relation to companies increasing standing charges.

It's after the Irish Independent reported gas and electricity companies have upped the fee by more than €300 a year.

The Commission for Regulation of Utilities will appear before an Oireachtas committee tomorrow to answer questions on the energy crisis.

Minister Catherine Martin says the primary way government will tackle this, is through financial supports.
