A tomato shortage has hit the shops, leading to some UK supermarkets introducing a limit on the purchase of fruit and vegetables.
However one of Ireland's best known producers says the problem is considerably worse in Britain, due to the paperwork associated with importing produce since Brexit.
Food items like tomatoes, peppers and broccoli have become more scarce, due to bad weather in Spain and north Africa.
Justin Leonard from Leonard and Sons says supply is limited, but the UK is being hit hardest.
"Although they're not completely unavailable to supplies are very, very limited.
"Fortunately, we're still members of the EU but Britain now after Brexit, becoming a third country, anything that's shipped to or from Britain would need certain customs clearance documentation.
"There's an awful lot of paperwork that goes with the export of that product."
