Menlo Pier in Galway was sealed off this morning, after three teenagers died when their car went into the River Corrib.
Those who died have been named locally as 16 year old John Keenan, 17 year old Wojcieck Panek and 19 year old Christopher Stokes.
Local Councillor Frank Fahy says it's a terrible loss:
"It's an appalling tragedy, the loss of three young lives in a very peaceful secluded part of the city, to rural areas within 10 minutes of Eyre square but it's very rural. I live in the village being born and buried here, and it's a tragedy that has been visited upon the community. It's not something I'd ever envisaged would happen in this area."
